Parece que Google está trabajando para que Android 12 incluya una función de IOS 14 que Apple ya copió de Android. Todo este lío de copias no es nada malo, pues ambos sistemas operativos se nutren, poco a poco, de las mejores funciones del otro. Android 11 Beta lanzó la función de doble toque en la parte trasera para despertar ciertas acciones. Finalmente no la incluyó en el sistema operativo y Apple sí lo hizo en IOS 14. Si fue una copia de Apple hacia Android no está claro, pero ahora Android 12 podría retomar esta función.
Con IOS 14 Apple lanzó oficialmente la función ‘Tocar atrás‘, la cual, lleva unos meses desde que el sistema operativo llegó a los iPhone de turno. Ahora Google tiene pensado volver a incluir esta función, ya lo hizo con la beta de Android 11, en su sistema operativo. Se trata de una función realmente útil que puede ser configurada.
Tras configurarla puedes tocar en la parte trasera del dispositivo dos veces para despertar una acción predeterminada. Esta acción puede ser despertar al Google Assistant, hacer una captura de pantalla, abrir las aplicaciones recientes y otras acciones.
Es una forma de tener un botón dedicado invisible y que solo se activa tras pulsar dos veces en la parte trasera. Los dispositivos que incluyen esta función no necesitan un software especial, pues esta acción se lleva a cabo gracias a los sensores de movimiento del terminal.

9to5google ha dejado ver que la función estará, de nuevo, en la beta de Android 12 que se lanzará dentro de poco. Google plantea volver a utilizarla durante la beta, pero nadie puede asegurar que sea una función de la versión final. Con Android 11 se dejó ver en la beta y luego desapareció del mapa cuando el sistema operativo se hizo oficial.
La mala noticia es que en todo momento se trata de una función para los Google Pixel y no para el resto de los dispositivos Android del mercado. Esto limitará mucho su uso, sobre todo en países como España en los que Google ya no confía para vender sus principales novedades en smartphones.
Habrá que esperar para saber si Android 12 finalmente incluye esta función de tocar atrás para despertar comandos predeterminados que tan bien funciona en los dispositivos Apple con IOS 14.
